B vitamins are crucial for healthy nervous system function, energy production and digestion. All of the B vitamins work synergistically, and each has different functions in the body, so it’s best to take a full B complex rather than just a few individual vitamins. The body cannot store large amounts, so B vitamins must be continuously replaced in the body. Alcohol, tea, coffee, sugar and some medications deplete B vitamins, and they can also be run down due to stress.
Adults take 1 tablespoon early in the day, with food. Child’s dose is 1/2 to 1 tablespoon per day. May be divided into 2-3 doses for ideal absorption. Take last dose before 4pm if sleep disturbance is seen.
Please start B-Complex at a low dose and increase gradually over a period of 1 to 2 weeks, to give the body time to adjust. People often report feeling a little nervous or restless when they increase their B vitamin dosage. This effect should pass in a few days.
